This world has come to the point where every individual believes that the pentagram is a sign of the devil, but few understand that it is an inverted pentagram that the satanists use. Because of these satanist acts through the ages no pagan can walk through the streets wearing a pentagram without people glearing and giving us dirty look, and people fail to see that we are indead some of the most down to earth people. The ones among us that keep to the shadows and don't reveal them selves as pagan get treated eqeally. Its not fair that we have to hide in America where every other religion is aloud to openly prefess there faith. I can't speak for those of other countries but I know how it is here in the US and it is not at all fair. |

i agree with you full heartedly my boss made me put my necklace in my shirt because it had a pentagram and a triskelion at the end of it ,while other people are free to wear theirs out at the job but me . |

I am not really a pagan (sorry for intruding in this forum, I just got into it) but I know full well what you are trying to say. I, unlike most individuals, do explore outside my circle of beliefs and ideologies. I seek to know and understand more about other ideologies and concepts, particularly religion. No I am not interest in changing my religion, but I like to be well aware of what is out there. For instance, did you know that the Sikhs can actually carry small swords into planes? (this seems to get off topic, sorry). I am fully aware of what the pentagram is and how it seems to change completely just by turning it upside down. From what I know the christan religion did a good job of turning this pagan symbol into one of satanism. However, we must also be aware that it has only survived and been enforced thanks to the media and a bunch of satanistic exposure of the pentagram (that's just what I think). Anyways I do not regard the Pagan Pentagram as anything bad, and if it makes you feel any better, I always stand up to declare and specify the difference between this and satanism (I seem to always stand up for other beliefs and ideologies more than for my own. Isn't that weird?). Hopefully things will change regarding the Pentagram and how it is seen. After all time is the only thing that alters beliefs, just look at what happened to the Christian religion, it split up into so many branches that they even fight amongst themselves. However if I were you I would stop thinking that every religion is tolerated in the US. It (to me) always seems that it takes just one thing that is not understood, feared, or contradictory to "normal" beliefs to make it a target for everyone. |

Yea its kinda true some "satanists" have fucked things up . but i think its our obligation to enlighten and expand peoples thoughts , minds , and awareness about alternitive belief systems . but before we can do that first one must think ... what does the pentegram mean to me ? what does being pagan mean to me . going back to the pentegram just because its inverted doesn't mean it negitive to some wiccans and pagans pending on tradition one is in marks a trandsendence to higher awareness . take the inverted cross , to some this symbol screams satanic but what momst people dont know its actually a catholic symbol , i believe it was st. peter who was crucified upsidedown . another thing the pentegram isnt wholly a pagan symbol either early christians used this as well . they decorated their churches with these symbols as well people put to much in letter of the law rather than its spirit so i say fuck what they think live your life !!!

I am truly amazed at how more and more pagans are becoming as intolerant as Christians. In reality a true modern Satanist is nothing more than an atheist with a sense of humor. But, hey, everybody wants to be a victim these days. Enjoy the pity party.

yes the christians used it to represent the five wounds of christ I know, but they hide and deny that fact because of the negative publicity of pentegrams, trust me I know the christains and/or catholics have taken many athings from us pagans. |
